林書豪過去和多位長時間持球後衛的磨練，到了季後賽搭配華克，正好讓兩人能切能投的侵略性球風，成為黃蜂隊對熱火隊3連勝的關鍵。

過去曾與林書豪當過發展聯盟隊友的熱火隊中鋒懷塞德，日前曾批評林書豪切入太容易要到犯規。但林書豪和華克他們兩人過去3戰，平均每場每人都切入達12.3次，聯盟中僅次於在「綠衫軍」挑大梁的湯瑪斯，但被犯規率都還不到聯盟前5名，犯規和上罰球線次數，並沒有明顯高於標準值。

兩人合計平均切入所得到的分數將近18分，以全聯盟後場搭檔來看，僅有暴龍隊的羅瑞和德羅展切入次數合計比他們兩人還多。但暴龍首輪進攻幾乎被溜馬隊防守策略瓦解，兩人每場平均切入得分合計只有不到10分，就連騎士隊厄文和詹姆斯，雖然切入次數同樣位居聯盟前10，但合計也只有15分不到。

雖然華克持球時間不短，到了過去3戰全聯盟更是僅次於衛斯特布魯克，但由於過去幾年林書豪效力湖人和火箭隊，都有和長時間持球的後衛打球經驗，讓他相當適應在黃蜂的角色。

林書豪說：「我以前在火箭要擔任貝佛利替補，在湖人擔任克拉克森和普萊斯替補，已經很習慣和需要持球的後衛搭檔，我可以作為有效率的雙能衛。我和華克都能切入又能投籃，我想這是球隊最有效的組合。」

兩人第4戰第4節完全沒有休息，第5戰也僅合計休息不到5分鐘。

華克說：「當我和林書豪都進入攻擊模式，不斷挑戰籃框，同時也是製造隊友更多外線機會。我們不斷持球攻擊，更容易搞定比賽。」
